Good morning from the Bristol-Myers Squibb Lecture Theater in Cambridge. The talks so far have covered topics such as the cell cycle, mate selection and DNA repair/replication.

So far a very yeast-heavy morning, with talks from Paul Nurse (NIMR) and Sophie Martin (U de Lausanne). Simon Boulton (LRI) diverged a bit, presenting work in other metazoan (ie. more complex multicellular) models.

I’m very much looking forward to Maria-Elena Torres-Padilla’s (IGMCB) talk in the next session as her work is what attracted me to the MZG group at the Gurdon in the first place.

More details to follow later
